Hatzolah Israel is a volunteer, non-profit Emergency Medical Service (EMS) that assists the victims of terrorism and other medical emergencies throughout Israel.

Our service starts from the Golan in the North, and continues to Arad in the South of Israel - and most places in between. The primary role of Hatzolah volunteers - who are certified and trained by Magen David Adom (MDA) - is to provide a life saving bridge of medical care. Additionally, we are the fastest and only medical response team in Israel that works in coordination with Magen David Adom.

Hatzolah Israel now supplies all its countrywide volunteers with BurnShield gel-moistened bandages. This is the most advanced emergency care burn treatment available and up to now was not available for emergency services in Israel. This special burn dressing reduces healing time, lessens pain, stops damage to the skin, and reduces the need for skin grafting. Each kit costs approximately $225 (1,000 shekels), making the entire project cost close to one million shekels.
