Car Accident in the Apirion Intersection, Jerusalem

23 seconds. This is the time it took from the moment the Hatzolah Israel volunteers received the alert until they arrived at the scene of the car accident.
Azriel Weiss, Chaim Goldman, Moshe Weissmandel and Michael Iflah arrived at the Apirion intersection and administered first-aid to a 50 year old man, who was seriously injured by a car while riding on his motorcycle. The motorcycle was completely crushed and the man was thrown 6 meters.
The front part of the car was also crushed, but thank G'd, the driver was only slightly injured. An M.D.A. ambulance arrived at the scene a few minutes later and evacuated the wounded man to the Hadassah Ein Keren hospital.
As usual, our volunteers are dedicated to the wounded, provide first-aid care promptly and are ready for a new alert…

A VERY TOUCHING CEREMONY IN THE SHOMRON BRANCH OF HATZOLAH ISRAEL

Yesterday afternoon, the Shomron branch of Hatzolah Israel organized a very special ceremony in the memory of Benaya Rein z'l who was murdered in the last Lebanon war. The Rein family attended the event with many Rabbis, the managing members of the organization, and the head of the council.
A touching video clip about the life of Benaya z'l was shown to the participants of the ceremony.
Twenty five new volunteers have been trained in the Shomron branch. They received sophisticated medical equipment, Burnshield kits, Mirs devices and more.
Furthermore, four defibrillators and two motorcycles have been donated to the new volunteers by the Rein family in honor of their son Benaya z'l.
Those who attended the ceremony felt sorrow mixed with pride in the memory of Benaya z'l. May we be saved from further tragedy.

A YOUNG MAN WAS STABBED ON SHABBAT NIGHT
The inhabitants of the Meah Shearim quarter alerted Shalom Weiss, one of our local volunteers, to treat a young religious man who was lying down on the floor, in the middle of the street, unconscious, his chest full of blood. Shalom arrived at the scene momentarily and realized that the boy had been knifed in the chest. He treated him and called for an M.D.A. ambulance because the boy had lost a considerable amount of blood. The ambulance arrived and evacuated the boy to the Shaare Tzedek hospital.
The police were alerted as well. They arrived at the scene and are still investigating.

A MAN WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED ON HIGHWAY 443
Two brothers were traveling on highway 443 when suddenly, between the Ofer jail and Jerusalem, they were pelted with stones. They were frightened and immediately called the M.D.A. station for assistance. Meanwhile they decided to go to the Ofer camp. After a few minutes, volunteers from Hatzolah Israel arrived at the scene and treated one of the two brothers, whose knee was seriously injured.
The police and the army were alerted as well. They started to patrol the area.
Unfortunately, similar events occurred last week despite the safety fence along the 443 highway.
